This was after the star ran an article misquoting the Governor and bringing a bridge between the artists and the governor.
check out the trending piece.
This brought a stir on social media with radio presenters and Nairobi artists all together condemning the misquote.

Kaa la Moto had this to say,
Am a Kenyan citizen that makes me a Kenyan Artist. Kama Coast ni Kenya then Nairobi artists have the right to perform in any part of the Country . Sawa na Wapwani hamjawai fukuzwa Nairobi. Let's stop this. .Industry ni moja, we all need each other Leo na Kesho. We love you
#GovernerJoho. At the same time tunapenda kazi yetu. All big media houses, ziko Nairobi, tukiwalipisha ku perform huku watatulipisha pia kwao. .Kusema ukweli sijawai lipa na sitopenda mtu alipie
#HakiYake.
Well those were just among the comments a simple misquote did.
The governor has since come out to say what he actually said, though its already done, this is what he actually meant.
The governor in good faith wanted to uplift the coastal entertainment. No artist in his good mind can pay any amount in order to perform. According to the governor, Mombasa has become a hub of entertainment. Tanzanian artists have had so many opportunities around Mombasa while the coastal artists continue suffer without receiving a single show apart from those given by the county. In good faith he said, What if the artists pay just to perform around Mombasa.
Keep in mind it was a question. However, the article by the star changed everything. Those who understood had this to say.
Keep it Donda Ndugu.
